Hello Monopoli
Hello, here I am, and here Monopoli is. We were traveling here for a grande Italian wedding of our friend ( I have a separated post about this grande wedding!). We arrived unexpectedly early thanks for the “crazy” drive on the motorway, while it was great that I caught these two hours to explore this yellow-color city on the sea. Monopoli is part of Puglia where all the Italians love it for their summer vacation. The beauty of Southern Italy was amazing in its white and yellow colors. Different from the mountain side, here flows passion and love to the sun and the sea.
It was interesting to me, that I found so many different churches in this small city, and one of biggest one was the one where our friend’s wedding was held. I was so curious about the narrow lanes and white walls in the city, and almost all the time, I’m stopping at the corner and looking up. The people living in this city must a garden-lover, because I see everywhere pink and red flowers, and by chance, I found this little “garden” in front of the green-painted door. The beach was not a big one with limited space of sand beach and most of them are made up by rocks, but the locals were pretty enjoying their sun-bath as I saw. Along the sea-side, there were two or three good hotels which were more like villa to me. They are all painted in purely white, with a touch of Greek inspiration. We spent little time to have our coffee break in Carlo Quinto. It was a wonderful location to have a peaceful blue view of the open sea, and also you can just move a bit to check out the half-destroyed Bastino Santa Maria and Castello Carlo V next to it.
Throughout the whole day, I was in Charlotte Russe black and white dress and Raye scandal. It was my luck that the little-thick dress kept me refreshing in the daytime with its sexy all-naked design at the back and it did kept me warm at night when we went to friend’s wedding party. I really love Raye scandal for it’s super easy-wearing and almost can match to all my summer dresses. Luckily I got this shoes with my other stuff from Revolve before this trip. Well, if your vacation is set next to the seaside, don’t miss your vacation hat (I’ve got my Forever21 one)!
